Description

UV Water Sterilizer Unit Specifications

The UV water sterilizer filter consists of a stainless steel housing equipped with an ultraviolet lamp inside a special quartz casing.

UV Sterilization Process:

Ultraviolet (UV) water disinfection is a completely natural process that is free from chemicals. The UV wavelength ranges from 240 to 280 nanometers, directly attacking the genetic material (DNA) of all bacteria. The radiation initiates a photochemical reaction that destroys the genetic information in the DNA, causing the bacteria to lose their ability to reproduce and leading to their damage. Even parasites that are highly resistant to chemical disinfectants are effectively reduced by this radiation.

Key Advantages:

  • High UV Dose: (30 millijoules/cm²), sufficient to deactivate a wide range of microorganisms and bacteria.
  • UV Radiation Source: The UV units for water treatment use a low-pressure mercury vapor radiation source that emits UV radiation at 254 nanometers, or a medium-pressure UV source that generates multi-colored output.
  • Non-contact Lamps: The UV lamps do not come into direct contact with the water. They are either located in a glass cover inside the water chamber or externally mounted to the water flowing through a transparent UV tube. This design allows the water to pass through the chamber while receiving and absorbing UV radiation.
  • Stainless Steel Housing: The casing is made of stainless steel for durability and purity.
  • Pure Silica Chamber: The chamber is made from high-purity silica, which is highly resistant to the formation of deposits and scale.
  • Effective Operation Duration: The effective operational life of the unit is up to 9,000 hours.

Applications:

This UV sterilizer is designed for disinfecting drinking and cooking water in various settings:

  • Restaurants, homes, hotels, and cafes.
  • Water bottling plants.
  • Part of water treatment plants for drinking water.
  • In industrial applications for various technological processes.

UV Sterilizer Maintenance:

  • Lamp Replacement: The lamp should be replaced once a year.
  • Component Cleaning: Clean components regularly to remove mechanical impurities and scale build-up.
